FREE NOW kick off Music Venues Trust support with intimate gig at Peckham Audio

Public Sector Broadcasting take to the stage at Peckham Audio

Working with the new Mercury Prize sponsor FREE NOW, as brokered by Big group, DIY will be embracing the brand’s commitment to supporting small British venues and emerging music artists, not just through the Mercury Prize itself but across a longer term live music partnership with Music Venue Trust, positioning FREE NOW as the go to Mobility Super App for music fans.

The campaign will include three “hero” gigs, the first of which took place at Peckham Audio on 23rd August headlined by Public Sector Broadcasting.

“If you don’t have these places to play, you’re just not going to get the same grade of talent that the UK has been lucky to have for the last several years,” says frontman J. Willgoose Esq.

Mark Davyd, CEO Music Venue Trust commented: ““It’s great to be working with FREE NOW to be connecting people with their next favourite artist. Music Venue Trust is working hard with venues to identify acts which we know are the next Mercury Prize nominees and give people the chance to experience them early on in their careers in some outstanding venues before they move up to the biggest venues and festivals. It’s great to see this partnership with FREE NOW kick off with this very special show from a band like Public Service Broadcasting who really epitomise that journey.”
