DIY & Q Acoustics team up for new event The Listening Room.

DIY teamed up with innovative audio brand – and our DIY Class of 2026 sponsors – Q Acoustics for a new event in London, dedicated to the art of listening and community.
The Listening Room is an intimate evening focused on sharing music with like-minded fans, in a setting designed especially for sound. Attendees are encouraged to bring along their favourite vinyl record and discover it anew, as it’s played through an award-winning flagship system from Q Acoustics, paired with a GR3 turntable (courtesy of their sister brand Goldring). Across the evening, a special guest host guide us through some of the songs that have shaped and resonated through their life and career, before inviting attendees to share their own choices and stories along the way.

The inaugural event place on 26th February 2026 at The Forge in The Lower Third, on the capital’s historic Denmark Street – what promised to be an unforgettable night of music and storytelling.

For the launch event DIY sat down with Tim Burgess, the Charlatans’ front man, and had a chat about his love for music, and the tracks that influenced him personally during his life. This came together through the DIY partnership with Q Acoustics, who took the bold decision to adopt a new approach to marketing hi end Hi-Fi equipment, away from the conventional “What Hi-Fi” tech world. This we delivered in the intimate surroundings of Outernet Venues‘ The Forge, within the Lower Third, in London’s Denmark Street, where we entertained an audience held together by a common love of music, enjoyed through quality home speaker systems that bring their music alive.

At the heart of each media partnership with a brand will be curated content (editorial, video, photographic, design) by the DIY team, in conjunction with the client, which is then amplified across the DIY multi channel media platform (print, digital, social) to our 1m+ audience.
