DIY and Music Finland announce music export partnership

DIY & WTF Present: The Nordic Invasion

London’s DIY Magazine is teaming up with WTF – aka Music Finland’s Welcome to Finland initiative – to shine a spotlight on the country’s vibrant, ever-growing music scene.

Taking place on 26th November, The Old Blue Last will play host to four of Finland’s most distinctive emerging artists. From icy pop minimalism to vintage soul, DIY & WTF Present: The Nordic Invasion will offer a panoramic view of what makes Finnish music so compelling in 2025.

Headlining the event are Maustetytöt, the cult pop duo whose bittersweet lyrics and deadpan delivery have made them icons of Finnish melancholy. Sharing the bill with the duo are Bobby Oroza, the Helsinki artist beloved for his smooth vintage sound; Louie Blue, the rising R&B-pop artist blending slick production with introspective charm; and Grande Mahogany, a band steeped in bluesy warmth and cinematic groove.

Tickets are available on DICE.

The event is part of a music mission by key members of the Finnish industry and DIY will be co-hosting a reception, prior to the live event, upstairs at the Old Blue last 6-7pm on 26th November. The mission members would like to meet labels, promoters, agents and  PRs to help develop the careers of their artists in the UK and wider markets.
