In the midst of the great success of the UK leg of the Dr. Martens #STANDFORSOMETHING Tour, DIY was invited to take the tour around Europe in a bid to help promote the iconic UK brand overseas.
While the previous iterations of the #STANDFORSOMETHING Tour had included shows with different headlining artists, the European leg of the tour saw two UK-based bands perform in each of the different cities, whilst being joined by local support acts to help support each musical community.
Headliners Pulled Apart By Horses – who had just released their Top 40 album ‘Blood’ and are renowned for their incendiary live shows – were joined by friends Dinosaur Pile-Up for a five-date European trip, which included stops in Paris, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Amsterdam.
Taking place within just one week, the 5,000km round trip also marked the launch of Paris’ new Dr. Martens’ store, and helped to unify the different countries’ marketing campaigns further. DIY Music was responsible for all elements of the European tour, including the booking of bands and venues, providing day-to-day services throughout the tour itself, and producing content from each date of the show, to further amplify the activation.
