DIY launches the new DIY Now & Next Tour with Kilimanjaro

DIY is taking Lynks and Vlure on tour in 2023

Ever since Lynks saw off our Hello 2020 live series with a bang just under three years ago, we’ve been hooked on their larger-than-life stage show, so we’re thrilled to announce that the art-punk star will be headlining our brand new tour with Kilimanjaro next year! Lynks will be topping the bill on our new DIY Now & Next Tour – which is designed to give you a taste of the best artists of right now, and the not-so-distant future – alongside Glasgow’s incredible newcomers VLURE and a host of brilliant new acts, including Damefrisør and Ciel. They’ll be playing six shows across the UK in February and March, making stops in Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, Brighton, Birmingham and Bristol. Tickets are on sale now. Get the full details on the tour here.

It might be cold but it’s very cool at M for Montreal festival

The highly memorable and amusing keynote was an exclusive conversation between two of Seattle’s music legends: Megan Jasper, CEO of Sub Pop Records and Cheryl Waters, DJ and radio host on KEXP.

Landing in a snow storm (with the plane having to stop to let a snow plough through!) was soon eclipsed by the warm welcome afforded to both delegates and artists at this year’s M For Montreal. Relatively unexplored by the UK and European music industry, the showcase and networking festival was, however, well worth the trip.Alongside networking opportunities and meetings, DIY also teamed up with Groover for our first joint showcase together. While artist showcases from record labels and funding bodies such as PEI and Focus Wales were well attended across the board, DIY & Groover’s inaugural event was a brilliant way to start off the festival. Read our report on the on the festival now.

Three new acts – who’re set to play 2023’s edition of the festival – took to the stage, with the mayhem coming courtesy of the buzzy-yet-enigamtic headliners The Dinner Party.
