It’s late November but festival season still rages in Lisbon at Super Bock em Stock.

The sun shines in November on the City of Lisbon for the Super Bock Super Rock em Stock festival

Where else could you see buzzy artists like Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard and WH Lung play in a mainline railway station, against the stunning backdrop of a castle (Castelo São Jorge), perched high on a hill overlooking a such an exciting city? Well Super Bock em Stock of course. With 55 artists playing across 12 venues over two days in downtown Lisbon, it is the perfect mix for a weekend break in this cosmopolitan and multicultural historical city.

Leading beer brand Superbock, known musically overseas more for the Super Bock Super Rock stadium sized festival in July, takeover the downtown district from intimate pubs to (literally) colosseum sized and shaped venues, many steeped in the city’s history.

The brand is rolling out it’s product across Europe and supporting festivals and event such as Montreux Jazz Festival, AntigelHive Air, and Dot-to-Dot in the UK. The brand were also sponsors of DIY magazine’s own DIY Class of 2022 campaign in 2022.

Although the focus was Portuguese artists for the local market, with popular local acts such as David Bruno, Atalaia Airlines, Caio, Jüra, Papillon and of course Andrea Soares, other international artists (all who have been supported by DIY throughout their careers) included Alfie Templeman, Porridge Radio, Enola Gay, and Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard and WH Lung who saw out the two night’s headline slots.

It was also an opportunity for international partners from France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK to come and experience the Superbock music experience first hand.

The guided tour on an open top bus around the city was a much appreciated bonus, that confirmed the weekend City break potential for Super Bock em Stock.

In the last year alone, DIY offered full media partnerships to over 15 festivals worldwide including Mad Cool, Open’er, Pohoda, Deer Shed, Y Not and SXSW festivals.
