Working with the new sponsor FREE NOW, as brokered by Big group, DIY will be embracing the brand’s commitment to supporting small British venues and emerging music artists, not just through the Mercury Prize itself but across a longer term live music partnership with Music Venue Trust, positioning FREE NOW as the go to Mobility Super App for music fans.
Kicking off at the Langham Hotel on Tuesday 26th July, where the 12 shortlisted artists were announced, DIY will be providing unique content and in depth coverage through to the day of the ceremony itself on Thursday 8th September, integrating into FREE NOW’s campaign.
Following the 2022 Mercury Prize with FREE NOW, DIY will also be working closely on the brand’s campaign with Music Venue Trust which will continue into 2023.
Big group is an award-winning creative marketing agency celebrating its 30th anniversary, with three decades of success brokering headline sponsors for major music properties including the Mercury Prize, The BRIT Awards with Mastercard, MOBO Awards, Olivier Awards, BRITs Week and Classic BRITs.
This will be the fourth year that Big Group and DIY have worked together on the prestigious Mercury Prize.
From the launch of the Mercury Prize on 26th July 2022 until the end of April 2023, DIY will be providing unique artist content, digging deep into the shortlisted albums, announcing the winner and reaction through out. In conjunction we will be supporting the MTV UK wide venues support campaign, discussing important issues affecting the live industry at this level with both the artists performing and the venue teams themselves.
