DIY partnered the Reeperbahn Festival team who travelled to New York for Indie Week of the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM). The delegation, under the umbrella of Deutschlandjahr USA, is aimed at supporting cultural and music business exchange between Germany and the US. As media partner, DIY helped raise profile of the event to its growing US audience and across the world.
DIY presented the Reeperbahn Festival showcase night at the Rockwood Music Hall, with the bill featuring bands such as Gurr (DE), Leoniden (DE), Mira Lu Kovacs (AT), ORI (IL), Renata Zeiguer (US), Surfbort (US), (photo) and Yes We Mystic (CA).
This was part of Deutschlandjahr USA’s Sequencer Tour, which is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, implemented by the Goethe-Institut, with support from the Federation of German Industries (BDI).
