DIY kicks of 2024 promoter partnerships with Kili DIY Now&Next tour

Following on from the success of the sell out 2023 DIY Now&Next tour headlined by Lynks and supported by Vlure, we are delighted to follow up with a 2024 edition, headlined by Hot Wax and Big Special around the UK.

HOTWAX AND BIG SPECIAL ARE HEADLINING DIY’S NOW & NEXT TOUR 2024!

They’ll be joined by special guests Aziya and Grandma’s House across the April run.

Split into two legs, Black Country punk duo Big Special will lead the first five dates, with support from special guests Grandma’s House and more artists TBA. Kicking off on Wednesday 3rd April at Cardiff’s Club Ifor Bach, they’ll then head to Oxford, Sheffield, Brighton and Southampton throughout the rest of Week One.

Passing the baton over, fiery rock trio HotWax will then top the bill for the second half of the tour, with support from special guest Aziya and more to come. They begin their run on Tuesday 9th April at Birkenhead Future Yard, with further shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle and Leeds.

Following on from last year’s Now & Next Tour with Lynks and VLURE, it’s bound to be a raucous and celebratory run from two of DIY’s most hotly tipped new faves.

This is another example of DIY’s increasingly collaborative approach with promoters, with each side bringing their own skills and audiences to the campaign, across joint curation of line ups, artists management, tour promotion, marketing and content creation, with the benefit of DIY’s 1m + audience.

This ensures optimising the chances of a successful tour, particularly important for emerging artists trying to break into new markets, giving them the opportunity to start engaging with, and recruiting, new followers.

In 2023 we also started to pilot a collaboration with promoter Parallel Lines, named One Way or Another, to help early stage artists at DIY Neu (New) band level to get more exposure and experience at playing live. An increasingly vital element of an artists career.

The second of our monthly nights with Parallel Lines took place at Stoke Newington’s The Waiting Room

Both these partnerships bring further value to DIY’s artist relationships, from bedroom to arena, complementing editorial support and content curation opportunities as they progress their careers.

These partnerships are an important addition to DIY’s own curated live events.
