The Great Escape returns to Brighton for May 2023, but fans didn’t have to wait that long to get their new music fix. On 15 November, eight venues across East London played host to some of the festival’s rising stars for The Great Escape’s First Fifty event.
DIY hosted a sold out line up at London’s iconic Moth Club venue, headlined by Dinner Party one of the UK’s buzziest bands of the moment, with the ensuing mosh pit mayhem of predominantly GenZ and Millenial women – a core DIY audience..
Adding to the events success were the rest of the line up which included Nell Mescall and Seb Lowe.

DIY’s special relationship with The Great Escape spans over 11 years and alongside being marketing and media partner to the event, as part of our artists development programme we co-curate exciting emerging artist stages alongside education programmes at showcase/conferences.
DIY also publishes an annual festival guide each Spring when fans are at their peak for buying tickets. Additional copies are made available for delegates at Brighton’s international music industry showcase The Great Escape in May.
