Parallel Lines are launching a new series of music discovery nights in conjunction with DIY to promote young artists that fit into DIY’s new band category “Neu”, effectively DIY’s new band media incubator. The series called One Way Or Another – following the promoter’s Blondie theme – will feature three new bands in intimate venues targeting core tastemaker music fans.
Follow the campaign on DIY magazine.
As a publication, one of DIY’s primary aims is to encourage new music discovery for our audience. As well as providing in-depth and exclusive content from more established artists, we are passionate about promoting young and upcoming artists, and offering them a larger platform. We have a dedicated section – titled ‘Neu’ – every month within the magazine and a dedicated section online that covers the artists that we believe will become the next Class of… acts. It is a respected artist “incubator” that is closely followed by those tastemakers with a passion and interest in music discovery.
Parallel lines is a promoter that specialises in supporting and empowering Neu level artists and the coming together into a live partnership of both our brands will fill an important gap in the market and another key stepping stone for young bands on their musical careers that could lead to bands being chosen for the DIY Class of annual event and/or DIY’s new Now&Next Tour in conjunction with Kilimanjaro.
