Covid restriction announcement doesn’t deter DIY from continuing to support live music

DIY IRL gig launch poster in music brand partnership with Signature Brew

DIY have partnered with Signature Brew to launch “DIY IRL”, a brand new gig series of monthly magazine launch parties, featuring performances from artists straight from the pages of the magazine each month!

Taking over the Signature Brew Walthamstow Taproom for the first of the series on 21st June, we’ll be celebrating our June 2021 issue, featuring sets from Katy J Pearson and Lazarus Kane, and a DJ set from Drug Store Romeos too! Initially planned to be on “freedom day” at full capacity, DIY and Signature Brew took the decision to go ahead, despite the implications of a restricted audience, believing it is best to put the interests of the artists and fans first, which has been at the forefront of all the decisions of DIY throughout the pandemic.

In the face of even further extensions of restrictions, this couldn’t be a better time to launch as a means to inject some regular fun into what is an exacerbating time for many. DIY are passionate about supporting artists and venues alike, aiming to provide a live platform and opportunity for artists to perform for fans despite the difficulties that continue to be faced!

This follows on from the partnership with Marshall Amps at the DIY Big Weekender and the previous sold out event with Signature Brew to celebrate DIY’s 100th edition with a week long series of events between lockdowns in 2020.

Keep an eye out for the next instalment very soon…
