DIY Class of 2022 line up

DIY are incredibly excited to be returning to House of Vans London to celebrate the launch of the DIY Class of 2022 with a free show, and the first live event at the venue since lockdown. One of the highlights of our calendar, DIY will be revealing its full Class of 2022 issue to the wider world on Friday 10th December, but will once again be throwing an intimate launch party with some of the featured artists on Thursday 9th December.

This December, we’ll be inviting our incendiary cover stars Yard Act to headline the Class of 2022 launch party, as they gear up to release their hotly-anticipated debut album ‘The Overload’ in January. The Leeds quartet will also be joined by slacker-pop star Lauran Hibberd, who recently signed to Virgin Music, and Brighton’s brilliant newcomers Lime Garden. Our five-band bill will also feature a soon-to-be-announced special guest, as well as BIMM alumni Bukky

A celebration of music’s most exciting new artists, the Class of 2022 – and its associated multi-channel media campaign – will see DIY highlight and champion thirteen new artists, supporting them as they move towards the next steps of their careers, launching debut albums and playing bigger events throughout 2022. DIY’s Class of… alumni include the likes of Ashnikko, Sports Team, Wolf Alice, Years & Years, HAIM, George Ezra, slowthai and many more.

Rupert Vereker, CEO of DIY Music Ltd and DIY’s publisher, has said: “We are especially delighted that House of Vans have welcomed us back after two years of lockdown for one of the most anticipated events of the year, and the first music event at the venue since its re-opening. We’ll once again be supported by music college BIMM, whose students will be gaining invaluable experience at the event, as well as providing our opening act Bukky, and also by Portugal’s Super Bock, with a history of artist development, and long term supporter and backline supplier Marshall who were sponsor of the DIY Big Weekender mini festival back in May.”

Sarah Jamieson, DIY’s Managing Editor, has said: “We’re incredibly excited to be returning to the House of Vans for our Class of 2022 launch, and we’re thrilled to have such an incredible line-up up our sleeves! This is a show you do not want to miss.”

Its quality is asserted by being the only Portuguese beer to win 37 consecutive gold medals (42 in total) in the prestigious international competition Monde Selection de la Qualité and by being the best-selling Portuguese lager in the world.
