DIY brings live stage and spoken word events to 2022 Reeperbahn Festival partnership.

DIY is once again appointed media and marketing partner to the world famous Reeperbahn Festival for the seventh year running, building its relationship from media partner to adding a live stage and, in 2022, introducing “DIY in conversation” to the spoken word programme.

The programme kicks off on Wednesday 21st September evening at the infamous Molotow venue with a stellar line up curated together with the Reeperbahn Festival booking team, packed with emerging artists, many of whom were discovered through the pages and live shows of DIY magazine, and closing with the Lime Garden one of the top picks of DIY Class of 2022 and who will also play the DIY Class of 2022 tour headlined by Yard Act. The band are also shortlisted for the prestigious Anchor Awards taking place in Hamburg at the festival, and the winner announced by the judges on the Saturday.

With only a handful of songs out in the world, the Brighton girl gang are creating an infectiously excitable impression with every new move.

Billed by Reeperbahn themselves as: “Far more than just music nerds will know it: DIY Magazine. The British magazine always takes a look at the international music market – and now packs its bags to conduct a live interview at Reeperbahn Festival. Informal and close, anecdotal and amazing, “DIY in Conversation With” is dedicated to a band you’d better mark in red: COACH PARTY. Together with the four Brits, DIY takes a look at their career so far, behind the scenes and into the future. With two UK guests, it’s clear that English will be spoken fluently at this event – certainly with that pinch of black British humour that it is so much needed more often.”

The conversation, hosted by a senior member of the DIY editorial team will be live and conducted at 6pm, on Friday 23rd in a bus on the St Pauli festival village. The aptly named Coach Party have a lot to talk about, having just played EXIT Festival in Serbia (another DIY festival partnership) and you can get a taste of the conversation from our recent interview on DIY magazine.

You can find out more about our festival partnerships on the site and if you’d like to meet up at Reeperbahn please get in touch.
