Full Press Release

17 April 2023 – Spotify has today announced its hugely popular Our Generation playlist is stepping into IRL with a three-day pop-up in London, with some of the UK’s brightest emerging talent confirmed to deliver a programme full of performances, workshops, and fan events.

The immersive exhibition and performance space will be hosted at Ace Cornershop on Shoreditch High Street from Friday 28th April – Sunday 30th April (10am till late) with a series of unique moments for fans to connect with their favourite artists.

Our Generation celebrates the new wave of fearless creators changing the face of the music industry – artists who don’t limit themselves by genre or stereotypical boundaries and who are changing what it means to be an artist in 2023.

The weekend will see appearances from Brighton four-piece Lovejoy – who boast millions of monthly listeners on Spotify – and Holly Humberstone, who is set to preview tracks from her highly anticipated new album.

In addition, Thomas Headen will be meeting fans in a specially created temporary tattoo parlour; producer and rapper Jim Legxacy will be hosting production workshops; and there will be parties thrown by the likes of female and non-binary dance music collective Loud LDN and Lava La Rue, musician, visual artist and founder of NiNE8 COLLECTIVE.

The space will be a 360 degree realisation of the Our Generation playlist, and creatively constructed by a team of young artists working with illustrator Eliza Williams, a young illustrator based in Australia who has been creating the visual Our Generation worlds and playlist covers since 2020. The event will see both the playlist and artist visuals brought to life for fans to engage with their favourite artists.
